Jacob joined SHM in 2015 as a consultant and project manager, and has since been working on a wide range of SHM’s client accounts. He brings a passion for ideas and a love of different perspectives to the team.
Jacob read Politics and Philosophy at the University of Sheffield, before reading the BPhil in Philosophy at St Cross College, Oxford. During his studies he read widely in Philosophy, developing a special interest in political philosophy and continental philosophy, especially the work of Hannah Arendt. During his time at Sheffield, Jacob was part of a group of friends who pioneered a public discussion forum, the Sheffield Salon, modelled on the Salons of Enlightenment Europe.
Jacob aims to utilise his philosophy background to understand the ideas, values and perspectives that underlie the problems and opportunities that SHM’s clients face. In his spare time, he enjoys continuing to read philosophy and literature, cooking – especially soufflés – and scouring London for the perfect caffé piccolo.
