Dominic Scott is an academic associate at SHM, and a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Virginia. He specialises in ancient Greek philosophy and in contemporary philosophy. He works on a range of applied topics, including trust and intellectual property. He is a co-founder of the Forum for Philosophy in Business, a research centre dedicated to the study of philosophical issues that arise in business and public life.
For SHM, he applies his expertise to our transformational insight work in particular, using his academic knowledge, method and insight to add value and a unique perspective to a diverse range of project contexts in both the public and private sectors.
He earned his PhD in Classics at the University of Cambridge, where he went on to become a Lecturer in the Faculty of Philosophy and a Fellow of Clare College. He has also held visiting appointments at Princeton and Harvard, and been a Fellow at the Center for Hellenic Studies in Washington DC.
