Anna Kydd

Anna joined SHM in 2003, and headed up our work in Mexico City from 2005 to 2010. She has worked primarily in the health sector and managed key partnership projects between SHM and leading academic institutions.

As Director of The SHM Foundation, Anna now works closely with the SHM team to match their skills to projects bringing about positive social change globally in the areas of learning and citizenship, health and the arts.

Anna has a keen interest in, and significant project experience of, new advances in the digital world and exploring the opportunities that they provide for social change worldwide. Working across the public and voluntary sectors in the UK, Africa and Latin America, she has developed particular expertise in the development of participatory approaches and methodologies to help excluded groups voice and articulate their needs and develop solutions to the challenges that they face.

Prior to joining SHM, Anna worked for the Food Agriculture Organization and for the Fairtrade Labelling Organization. She has a BA (Hons) in Geography from the School of Oriental and African Studies, an MSc in Planning and Development from the Development Planning Unit, University College London, and is fluent in Spanish.
